FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Currently, we accept students ages 8-12 for our Youth Class. If your 12-year-old is tall, he/she can train in our Teen/Adult Class. Also, there is no age limit to learn Muay Thai! We suggest that everyone start by coming in to watch a class. No appointment is needed, so please stop by at your convenience during one of our scheduled class times.
You can find our current class schedule HERE.
Everyone needs to start with gloves and shin guards at least, although we do have some of these at the gym that students can initially use during class. All Youth and Teens are required to wear our gym uniform, which is our Muay Thai shorts and t-shirt.
Since we teach the skill of Muay Thai, it is impossible for an inexperienced person to jump into a class. We suggest everyone come in and watch a class. If you are interested in signing up for a membership, you will receive a free one-hour private lesson that will prepare you to take group classes. Also, since we have no cancellation fees, if you decide you don’t want to continue your membership after your first month, we will cancel your account with no hassles or fees.
We currently offer an Unlimited Membership which means you can come as often as you want during our scheduled classes. We also have a membership option for those wanting to train only twice a week.
Absolutely! Anyone that knows the basics of Muay Thai, including how to hold and hit pads, is welcome to join us for our current drop-in rate of $25.00.
Possibly. It is required that everyone knows the basics of Muay Thai, including how to hold and hit pads for Muay Thai and not other striking sports.
Sparring classes are by invite only and each member must pass their level one test to be eligible to spar.
We spar the same way as the Thais in Thailand. At Victory Muay Thai, we believe in skilled/technical sparring only. We never hard spar for safety and longevity reasons. You will never see the Thais hard sparring, and they are pound for pound the best in the world. If you just want to bang and hard spar, we are not the gym for you. With that said, without having a relationship with our gym to know if you are a person with control, we limit sparring to our members only.
Absolutely! Muay Thai isn’t just for those wanting to challenge an opponent inside the ring. You can also learn skills that will boost your confidence, improve your strength and physical fitness, and help prepare you to defend yourself if you’re ever put into a position where you need to do so.
Currently we do not, but we plan to offer this in the future.
